Testing Application

Thank you for your interest in the Triangle Figure Skating Club of N.C. testing session at the Polar Ice House at the Factory double-sheet skating facility in Wake Forest, N.C. Please refer to the website for information concerning rink facilities and nearby hotels.

Close-fitting warm-up jackets and gloves may be worn for Moves-in-the-Field tests.

Please be prepared to take the ice at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled event and plan to stay at least 30 minutes following to receive your results and in case of unforeseen delays in the schedule.

For Friday Tests which are conducted during freestyle please be aware of the following:

1. We will punch for the session(s) on which you are testing so please report to the club ice monitor when you arrive at the rink so that they can admit you to the ice.

2.  You will be issued a yellow fabric belt to wear during your test so that other freestyle skaters can identify that you are in a test and try to steer clear of your pattern.

3.  You may warm-up during tests preceding your own but communicate frequently with the ice monitor so that your test may be performed on time.

4.   If you are listed on the early end of the test session, we would encourage you to warm-up at the earlier freestyle session so as to be ready to test on time.  There will be an ice-make at approximately 3:45 p.m. prior to the test.

5.   We will be changing ice sheets between 5:15 and 5:45 so there will be a 30 minute break at this point in the Friday test schedule.

6.   Because of the volume of paneled tests on Saturday, several skaters will have to test both Friday and Saturday.  We apologize for this inconvenience but appreciate your patience with this situation.  If you are taking multiple tests, please check both the Friday and Saturday schedules to find your testing times.

Please contact me immediately if you have any questions or find any further errors/omissions in the schedule.
